Why To Trust Your Wedding Photographer

So, Why to Trust Your Wedding Photographer you ask? Well, let’s start here – I used to daydream about my big day – the perfect wedding, the gorgeous venue, the people I love, and of course, the photographer who would capture every moment of it. It’s incredible how wedding photographers have this magical power to turn your special day into timeless memories that you can cherish forever.

As a wedding photographer, I knew exactly what I wanted from my own photographer. In terms of being a bride myself, I quickly realized that trusting the person behind the camera is crucial if you want to enjoy your big day to the fullest. Once you have faith in your photographer, their process, and their vision, you can let go of all your worries and be your true self in front of the lens. And that’s when the magic happens!

Lean Into Letting Go

It’s easy to get lost in trying to make everything perfect – the venue, the flowers, the dress, you name it. But let me tell you, the most important thing you can do on your big day is to give yourself permission to let go and be present. Trust me, your photographer has got your back (and your good angles too).

Don’t worry about hair being out of place or what your body looks like. Just focus on being present with your partner and embracing all the little moments – even the chaotic ones. I know it can be tough to let go, but leaning into that feeling of liberation will allow you to fully experience every emotion on the roller coaster that is your wedding day.

I got married back in 2018 and this advice was the number one key of advice I took to heart. My husband and I had to learn to let go and trust in our photographer’s creative direction, even when it felt a little silly or goofy. We let go of all expectations, quit stressing, and just had fun. And you know what? It was the most amazing and the most comfortable I’ve ever felt in my own skin. I now strive to be that woman each day and put it back into my work.

So go ahead, give yourself permission to be unapologetically you on your wedding day. It’s a day you’ll never forget, and I promise you won’t regret it!

Know That Your Photographer Truly Has The Best Interest For You at Heart

Let me tell you something that I’ve learned after photographing countless weddings, both as a primary photographer (and even a second photographer) – most couples stress out rather than experiencing the joy of their big day. But you know what? Your photographer can be your biggest supporter, coordinator, and truly, even a friend. They’ll go above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience possible, whether that’s fluffing your dress, straightening a tie, fixing a flower, or making you laugh.

Photography is all about connecting with people, and it takes trust and from you, your partner and your photographer to create something truly unique to you. You hired your photographer for a reason – because you felt a special connection, loved their style and the way they approach their craft. So, give yourself permission to enjoy the process, remove the worries, and embrace your big day. Trust me, it’ll be worth it!

Unapologetically be Yourself

Your wedding day is one of the most special and memorable days of your life. It’s a day that you want to remember for all the right reasons. And what better way to do that than by being true to yourselves? Your wedding should be a reflection of your unique personalities and the beautiful connection you share with your partner. Don’t worry about fitting into any kind of mold or trying to please others. This is your day, and it’s all about celebrating your love in the most authentic way possible.

As your wedding photographer, I know how important (and even how hard!) it is to let go of any expectations and show up as your true selves. It’s those genuine and heartwarming moments that truly capture the beauty of your relationship and make your wedding day unforgettable.

Your wedding photographer is not just there to take photos. Remember, they are there to help advocate and encourage you to be yourself. So don’t be afraid to let your true selves shine through and be uniquely YOU. And remember, if you need any assistance, your photographer is there to help you every step of the way.

Trust in Your Photographer’s Vision

Your photographer is not just a documentarian but a storyteller with a unique vision. Trust that they have your best interests—and angles—in mind. By relinquishing control and trusting their expertise, you enable them to capture the most authentic and captivating moments of your day. Embrace the freedom of trusting a professional to encapsulate your love story through their lens.

Reliability is a key trait of a professional wedding photographer. From arriving on time to delivering the final images as promised, a trustworthy photographer understands the importance of professionalism. Establishing an emotional connection with your wedding photographer is essential. Trust the person behind the camera! This is where (and why) meeting with your photographer beforehand and ensuring that they understand the dynamics of your relationship is SO important to feel confident that you will get the photos of your dreams!
